Fulfilling the gaps of food choices in trains

After running a successful Bar & Restaurant for around 20 years, its owner Manmeet Singh still felt that there is more scope by which they could satiate the taste buds of the people in Durg, Chhattisgarh. He realised that the best way to do it is to open a restaurant service that could exclusively fit in the flexible food options for people.

Thus, Manmeet along with his partner Mr Kuljeet Singh started off with ‘Flavours Restaurant’. Situated approximately half a- kilometre from the railway station, it is a multi-cuisine restaurant catering to every food choice of the locals in Durg.

The restaurant has some delectable cuisines in its menu which include Paneer Dahi ke Shole, Shahi Platter and Kebabs. Its 8-member kitchen team is supervised by its head chef, Mr Shetty, who is a 15-years’ expert in making Indian food.

Flavours restaurant has a sitting space for 60 people in a peaceful and soothing ambience.

It is serving to train travellers since December 2014. “Offering food to train travellers is much more exciting and challenging. Being onboard it is so much important to have hygienic and quality food that suits your appetite. And we fit in that criteria by serving a variety of food options to our train travellers”,-quotes Manmeet Singh.

Specialising in bulk orders, Mr Singh also shared his experience of how they went out of their way in serving 120 parcels of South-Indian food. “Our South-Indian chef was on leave and the order had to be delivered at 6 in the morning. The challenge was well accepted by our other chefs and our complete team prepared the food between 3am to 6 am and the food packets were delivered on time. And guess what, we were highly appreciated for our out of the box efforts”,- shares Mr Singh.

Flavours restaurant believes in not turning down the expectations and demands of customers and this is why not only in Durg but people even from the neighbouring cities also visit the restaurant to experience its first-class food and services.
