Food Delivery in Train - Terms & Conditions

RailYatri is ONLY a food booking agent. It does not have restaurants of its own. In order to provide a comprehensive choice of food to customers; it has tied up with many Delivery Restaurants across India.

RailYatri's advice to customers is to choose food providers (restaurants) they are aware of and whose service they are most comfortable with.

7.1 Operations

Passengers could be asked to furnish the following details at the time of food delivery:

  • A copy of the food booking receipt.
  • Train ticket (either in original, copy or SMS)
  • Identity proof (Driving license, Student ID card, Company ID card, Passport, PAN card, Aadhar card or Voter ID card)

Failing to do so, they MAY not be delivered the food.

Partial Order Delivery:

  • In case, the Delivery Restaurant is unable to provide some items or provides alternative items due to some reason, passengers may choose to reject the delivery. Upon rejection to accept delivery, RailYatri will refund the full amount. RailYatri may refund the order amount to the passenger upon being intimated by the passenger within 24 hours of the food delivery.

Food menu:

  • The food menu for any Delivery Restaurant, as shown on has been provided by the Delivery Restaurant. Orders made against the menu would be delivered unless there are some exceptions on certain days.
  • NOTE: RailYatri provides this information in good faith to help the passengers make an informed decision. The liability of any food items not being delivered lies with the Delivery Restaurant and not with RailYatri.
